The list of unpopular top 10 hottest attackers in Europe right now
Europe has the biggest football talents around the world, and every footballer fancies playing on the continent.
European football is the real deal, and the best attackers in the world mostly play there unless they are in Saudi Arabia trying to make some money.
At the moment, several attackers are shining in the 2024/2025 season, and most of them are meeting expectations because they have been world-class attackers for several years.
Others have shocked us with their form because we did not expect so much from them at the start.
In the last few weeks, some players have unexpectedly stood out. In this article, we will comb through Europe to name the hottest attackers who have made it a habit to score every time they are on the pitch.
We have deliberately omitted the likes of Harry Kane and Erling Haaland because these are big-name stars who we inevitably expect to get on the score sheet every time we watch them play.
However, there are other players on the continent at the moment who are powering their way into being in the same category as those established attackers.
In no particular order and not considering if they are favourites to win the Golden Boot like the Premier League’s, we have listed the attackers that are too hot to handle now.
Jonathan David, Lille
Players usually seem uninterested in performing well for their club when they are in the final season of their contracts, and no one would have been surprised if that was the case for David.
The Canadian will be out of contract in the summer, and Lille seems to have replaced him with Mohamed Bayo in their squad.
But David is the reason fans buy Lille tickets now. He is simply unstoppable. He has seven goals in his first ten Ligue 1 games this season, in addition to six in eight Champions League games.
Ademola Lookman, Atalanta
Lookman is being tipped to win the next African Player of the Year, and when you watch him play, you will hardly argue against that.
The Nigerian was in fine form last season and ended the campaign with that stunning hat trick in the final of the Europa League.
Considering that he is not a striker, most people would expect him to go back to playing his role as a normal attacker.
However, fans who buy Atalanta tickets do so because there is a good chance it would be a Lookman show.
The Nigerian has bagged six goals and four assists in his first eight Serie A games this season, and he has had two strikes and one assist in the Champions League.
Viktor Gyokeres, Sporting Clube
Many clubs would regret not adding Viktor Gyokeres to their squad in the summer because the Swede proved too good to ignore last term.
He scored at least 48 goals in all competitions for Sporting Club, even though it was only his first season on their books.
However, clubs wanted him to prove that he could do it again and the attacker has been unstoppable.
Gyokeres has already scored 16 goals in just 10 league games, and in the Champions League, he has scored five times in four games, including that brace against Manchester City.
Sporting Lisbon ticket holders know that this will surely be his last season on their books, and they will enjoy him as much as they can.
Samu Omorodion, FC Porto
When Chelsea wanted to sign Samu, most fans in the Premier League did not know him and the Blues also were not sure he was the right fit, which is why they offered to only buy 50% of his rights.
However, he turned that down and made it clear that he was disappointed, which gave Porto the chance to add him to their squad.
Omorodion has been unstoppable at the Portuguese club, helping them sell a lot of match tickets with his stunning run of form.
Arguably the most in-form Spanish striker at the moment, he has 11 goals from 11 games in the league and the Europa League this season.
Serhou Guirassy, Borussia Dortmund
Guirassy scored 28 goals in 28 league games for Stuttgart last season, which fired them to the second spot in the Bundesliga table.
The Guinean could not stop scoring and that convinced Borussia Dortmund to add him to their squad this term.
After an injury scare, there is hardly a player who has delighted Borussia Dortmund ticket holders like the striker.
He has scored nine times in 12 competitive games in the league and Champions League, but he is still not in his best shape.
Chris Wood, Nottingham Forest
Wood’s highest-scoring season since 2017/2018 saw him score 14 league goals, and he did that last season and in the 2019/2020 campaign.
However, he looks set to make that better this term, as he has already scored eight goals in just ten league games for Nottingham Forest.
His goal is to push Forest towards finishing in a European place under Nuno Espirito Santo.
They have been remarkable and Nottingham Forest ticket buyers no longer expects to watch a team fighting for a place in the top flight, instead they could even make the Champions League, thanks to Wood’s goals.
Omar Marmoush, Eintracht Frankfurt
Marmoush is the second hottest Egyptian player on the planet after Mohamed Salah, and he has taken his game to another level in this campaign.
The 25-year-old could win the Bundesliga’s Golden Boot ahead of Harry Kane if he continues to bang in the goals.
He has 10 goals and six assists in just 9 league matches in the season and it is hard not to think he is one of the reasons fans continue to buy Eintracht Frankfurt tickets.
Mateo Retegui, Atalanta
At Tigre, Retegui was one of the finest attackers in South America, which prompted Genoa to bring him to Serie A.
Although he scored less than 10 league goals last season, when Gianluca Scamacca was injured at the start of this term, Atalanta turned towards him immediately.
That decision has proven to be a smart one because the attacker has simply been in great form this term, scoring 11 goals in the same number of league games.
He and Ademola Lookman could help La Dea end this season with another trophy for their cabinet.
Bradley Barcola, PSG
With Kylian Mbappe leaving, Ligue 1 would need a new Golden Boot winner, but the award might remain in PSG.
This is because Bradley Barcola has stepped up well to replace the Real Madrid star in Paris.
Luis Enrique has trusted Barcola since last season, and the Frenchman is thriving on the same wing where we are used to watching Mbappe shine in Ligue 1.
He is currently the league’s top scorer with 10 goals in 11 games, and PSG ticket buyers now have a new star to watch in their games.
Mika Biereth, Sturm Graz
After his superb spell on loan for them from Arsenal last season, Sturm Graz had to sign Biereth permanently and did.
The Dane has continued his fine run of form and currently tops the standing in the Austria Bundesliga top scorers chart.
He has shown in the last two terms that he is a terrific player who can be trusted to help in the sale of Sturm Graz tickets, and we expect more goals from him.
Other notable attackers
Other attackers have been in notable form all over European football, including Simon Banza of Trabzonspor, Ayoze Pérez of Villarreal, Loren Moron of Aris, Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford, and Simen Nordli of Randers FC.
